As the founder of Stine SOS, I want to bring the culmination of over 30 years of emergency management and response experience to the public BEFORE an emergency strikes. My name is James Stine and I have spent the last 3 decades serving and saving people in emergency situations. I have worked in emergency services in multiple capacities- military, civilian, full time, part time, and volunteer. The majority of my background is in the fire service, certified at the state and national levels as a responder as well as an instructor. Responding to, managing, and the prevention of life threatening situations in all conditions has been my daily life. Wildland fires, structure fires, and combining the two into wildland-urban interface settings, hazardous materials, transportation incidents and accidents, natural disasters, and more, as well as planning, prevention, and education are some of my “bread and butter” skills. I was active in EMS (emergency medical services) from 1984 until 2023. I am a Paramedic licensed at the state and national levels. I am a USAF veteran with tours in Europe and the United States during the Cold War. My experience is further rounded by past work as a part-time sheriff's deputy and as a technician for a security alarm contractor. I enjoy many outdoor activities, especially camping. It is the combination of all of my experiences that led me to form Stine SOS. My company is designed to bring to you the skills and resources needed to make an unfortunate experience simply an "unplanned campout".
Most everyone has insurance on their homes and automobiles. Why? Because life happens. We don't want something bad to occur, but it invariably does. Think of these skills as insurance also. You hope it's never needed, but it's there if you do. That's why you get it in advance.
Fires, floods, power outages, severe weather, chemical spills, automobile crashes, and other injuries happen to people every single day. You cannot wait until you need the skills to deal with these emergencies to learn them. You may literally have only seconds to save yourself or your loved ones from a perilous situation. You may not have the chance to gather up items you deem important to your well-being or survival. Can you identify a life threatening situation before warnings are issued? Can you cook without power? What will you do for heat in the winter during a prolonged ice storm? What will you do if a mechanical failure leaves you stranded? Can you find water when the store shelves are stripped bare after a natural disaster? Can you start a fire without matches or a lighter?
Stine SOS can teach you how to answer these questions and more with a resounding YES!
If you don't see what you are looking for, please do not hesitate to call or email so we can meet your individual needs.
Disaster planning. Survival training. Emergency Preparedness.
That's all we do; let us do it for you.
